How to check keypad in OSK (on screen keyboard)

if you want to check your keypad keys in OSK then you have to follow these simple steps.

1-  first press R key with WINDOW key . a run box will appear on the screen .

 

2--  type OSK in this RUN box and then click ok . 

 

 

3   - once you click ok then you will see a virtual keyboard on your screen , that keyboard is "on screen keyboard". 

 

 

         once OSK  open  , check for keys that are not working , if those keys work on the OSK then it will be the hardware problem but if  keys are not working in the OSK ,  then it will be the software problem . 

 

so by the help of this virtual keypad you can check whether your keypad problem is related to  hardware or software.

How to resolved keypad problem in laptop

          If you are facing keypad problem in your laptop , then it is the best blog for you to resolve your keypad problem by your own. some basic problem in laptop keyboard are as follows.

• All keys are not working
• Some keys are not working
• function keys are not working

 

For all of these problem , the first thing you can do is POWER DRAIN.

• First remove the battery from your laptop and disconnect the charger .
• Press the power button for 40 second.
• Connect the battery and charger from your laptop and press the power button ON. 

(now check , problem is resolved or still the same)

prob 1 -  All keys are not working

sol - if all keys are not working in laptop , then  first thing to check is problem type. is it hardware problem or software problem . 

If you already did the power drain and your keypad is not working , then it is hardware issue , so for this you might be changed your keypad .

prob2 - Some keys are not working

sol -    if some keys are not working in your keypad , so firstly you do power drain then after that check in OSK (on screen keyboard )

if those keys will not work in osk then it is software issue, in that case you might need to check for drivers and if keys will work on osk then it is hardware issue , in that condition you might be replaced the keys.

prob3 - function keys are not working

sol-      if function keys are not working in your laptop keypad , then the step you can follow is that-

• first do power drain (if problem resolved by the power drain then its fine , if not , then go to second step)
• download the appropriate drivers of function key (like value added package)

note - function keys issues are resolved by installing the function keys driver ,  drivers may vary according to manufacturer.

note - keypad issues arises because of  various issues , some of these that are most common are drivers , dust particles , key short . 

So whenever keypad issue came , first check the type of problem , and then check for drivers this will might resolved the basic keypad problem in your laptop .
